IFX student Chris Rumisek at SG Quelle Fürth for 2018-19 season

During Chris’ stay in Germany, he has been enrolled in an intensive German Language class, and alongside other IFX players, trains weekly aside from his club team with the IFX Soccer Academy located in Nürnberg, a supplementary training opportunity for players within the Pro IFX Year Germany program. Here, IFX players fine tune their soccer skills with drills to help them adapt to the German soccer style. This additional training is especially important while they are undergoing soccer trials with top German soccer clubs in the Bayern region. Chris and his mates live in the IFX Haus as part of the program, a fully furnished accommodation, and also receive ongoing support from IFX representatives, making their stay more pleasurable and allowing them to focus on developing their language skills and soccer.

As for Chris, in his first weeks at our international soccer academy in Nürnberg we saw many strong qualities in him and game composure and consistency that gave us the confidence in him to arrange the opportunity to trial with SG Quelle Fürth. He is a tall, strong, quick and team player that really enjoys the game. He is a possession player, and guarantees accurate passing.  SG Quelle Fürth U19´s team leads the highly competitive U19 Landesliga, which is the third tier of under 19 youth football in Germany and Bavaria, one level below the Under 19 Bayernliga, a league which Fürth has in previous years competed in regularly. The Fürthers are well regarded as a feeder team for some of the pro clubs in the area like Greuther Furth and the recently promoted to 1. Bundesliga 1. FC Nuremberg.
