Why Study and Play Soccer in Bournemouth, UK?

Located on the southern coast of England, Bournemouth is less than two hours from London by train. It is also close to some key landmarks and destinations, such as Stonehenge and The Jurassic Coast – England’s first natural World Heritage site – perfect for day trips between studying!

Bournemouth is a lively, modern and cosmopolitan town, partly due to the large student community as well as being a popular tourist destination that attracts visitors from across the globe throughout the year.

Once you have made the decision to Play soccer abroad and come to Bournemouth with IFX, you still have the rather big decision of what education path to follow. So, to make the decision a little bit easier, here are some academic options to choose from.

Football + English!

In the Language School program in Bournemouth, participants study in an intensive language program with experienced English teachers. Normally the classes take place 3-4 times per week in the morning or afternoon, generally about 3-5 hours per day. The language institutes are private organizations, generally with small class sizes.

The language programs are offered in different levels and terms. A participant who has never studied the language before would start at the first level, and after the term, if successful in completing the course, would then move on to the next level for the next term.

Participation and attendance in the language school is an integral aspect of the IFX program and required for those who choose this path of study. Learning a new language or improving in one already understood is a tremendous asset to have in one's future, not to mention being able to communicate better with your soccer club teammates or coaching staff in daily life.
