BAYERNLIGA DERBY DEBUT | IFX’S JONATHAN FAERBER

After several appearances with FSV Erlangen-Bruck’s reserves, IFX’s Jonathan Faerber got his first call up to Bruck’s first team and debuted last weekend against Bayernliga foe SC Eltersdorf. Eltersdorf controlled the match for most of the first half, converting a deflection to go ahead 1-0 in the 32nd minute.

DANIEL VALOVIS signed by SK LAUF OF GERMAN U19 BAYERNLIGA

Introducing midfielder Daniel Valovis (Bogota, Colombia) who has signed on to compete with SK Lauf A-Jugend Bayernliga side. The youth Bayernliga is regarded as the Bavarian state’s top league with the winner earning promotion into the youth Bundesliga. Having recently been promoted from the youth Landesliga, SK Lauf had been looking for reinforcements and was pleased with the addition of the young crafty midfielder hailing from Colombia.

Cyrille Ossey, a 21 year old defender from Senegal, recently signed for Bezirksliga club TSV Winkelhaid. Winkelhaid will use Ossey to anchor their defense in the middle, utilizing his size and strong distribution. Ossey has been playing in Europe on and off for several years including stints with SG Quelle Fürth U23s and a recent trial with a 1st division club in Finland.

SG QUELLE U-19s DEFEAT AL WASL OF UAE PRO LEAGUE

IFX’s Aidan Tucker (Brooklyn, New York) and his Bayernliga U19 club team – SG Quelle Fürth- defeated Al Wasl of the United Arab Emirates Pro League 3-2 in a midweek preseason friendly at the FC Nürnberg training grounds. Both clubs are preparing for the beginning of their respective campaigns.

2. BUNDESLIGA GREUTHER FURTH DEFEATS ERLANGEN-BRUCK

IFX’s Zack Shiposh and FSV Erlangen-Bruck took on 2. Bundesliga side SpVgg Greuther Fürth in a friendly benefit match this past Wednesday in Erlangen-Bruck. With a relatively good first half for the Bruck eleven, ending the half 1-3, Fürth opened up the second half with two quick goals, opening up the flood gates for their subsequent onslaught. After 90 minutes, Fürth came away with a 10-1 victory.
