IFX’s Cyrille Ossey signs with 3.Bundesliga Club SV Darmstadt 98

DARMSTADT, GERMANY – PRO IFX YEAR GERMANY

After a successful showing back in November, Cyrille Ossey finalized a move from TSV Winkelhaid to SV Darmstadt 98. Ossey will compete with the reserve team with the hope of getting promoted into the first team who presently compete in the 3.Liga. Ossey registered 13 matches between the 1st and 2nd team in Winkelhaids backline.

Die Lilien “The Lilies” as the club is known competes in the Stadion am Böllenfalltor with a capacity of 19,000. The club was champion of the Regionalliga Süd (IV Tier) back in 2011 and has since competed in the professional 3.Liga.

The club most recently won the Hesse Cup in 2013; the cup is one of 21 regional association domestic cup found throughout Germany. The winner rewarded with a place in the first round of the German domestic cup- DFB Pokal.

At the conclusion of the 2012-13 season the club was initially relegated but rivals Kickers Offenbach were refused a 3. Liga licence for the upcoming season and thus relegated to the Regionalliga; SV Darmstadt 98 took Offenbach’s place back in the 3.Liga.

Ossey will be illegible to  make his debut with SV Darmstad 98 reserve side on March 16th, 2014 as they host SpVgg 05 Oberrad. Oberrad is riding an 11 match unbeaten steak that dates back to the 2nd of November, and presently find themselves in 2nd place seeking promotion into the Hessenliga (V tier).
