AFC Bournemouth (IOW) Football Academy to face Watford (Herts) in third fixture

Isle of Wight, England – AFC Bournemouth’s Isle of Wight Football Academy in England kicked off their 2014-15 campaign 3 weeks ago and has had mixed results thus far in the Southern Conference of the Premier League Football League U19 division. Bournemouth opened with a 7-2 away defeat against Wycombe Wanderers and then drew their first points in an away match against Birmingham City FC in a scoreless bout. With a bye last week, Bournemouth should be well rested and ready for a tough matchup tomorrow against Watford (Herts) who sits just 3 points out of first place behind league leading Portsmouth FC.

IFX Soccer has several players on AFC Bournemouth’s IOW Academy team including midfielder Aaron Onion, a 16 year old out of La Grange, Illinois; Adam Pine, an 18 year old midfielder from Washington D.C.; Bryce Sanders, a 17 year old right back and winger from Southlake, Texas; and Emilio da Costa Abreu, an 18 year old winger from Johannesburg, South Africa.

IFX offers opportunities for young footballers around the world to play for the AFC Bournemouth IOW U19 Academy team while studying in a BTEC Football Studies academic program at the Isle of Wight College in Newport, Isle of Wight, where the young men take courses related to football, including studying to obtain FA coaching licenses.  IFX players are placed to live with host families in surrounding Isle of Wight communities. Training with the AFC Bournemouth IOW Academy football team takes place each weekday, with mid-week fixtures against other professional British football clubs’ Community Sports Trust Academy teams. Their Southern Premier League Division includes top British clubs including Portsmouth FC, Wycombe Wanderers, Watford (Herts), Reading, Oxford United, Leyton Orient, Birmingham City, Cheltenham Town, Chelsea FC, Tottenham Hotspur, Watford FC, and Fulham FC.
