After narrowly missing promotion in the youth Bundesliga last campaign, SG Quelle Fürth looks ready to make another strong push up towards the top of the table. Unfortunately they opened up their campaign with a 4-1 derby home defeat to local rivals FSV Erlangen-Bruck. Quelle opened the scoring in the first half and would take the lead into the dressing room only to let in four unanswered in the second half (60th, 70th, 84th, 85th). A quick turn around saw Quelle face off against SpVgg Ansbach in the 2nd match fixture. The hard fought 2-1 away victory could prove decisive for team moral after conceding four the previous weekend.

IFX’s Aidan Tucker played last 30 minutes, narrowly missing opening his account in Germany after his shot rang off the post in 4-1 defeat to Erlangen Bruck. He started and played a full 90 against SpVgg Ansbach, opening the scoring for Quelle and assisting in the game winning goal in the second half.
