Euro 2016 Group D outlook

Germany hosted group leaders Poland in a crucial home fixture on September 4th 2015, defeating them with a decisive 3-1 victory, played in Frankfurt. The following fixture against Scotland on September 7th, had Germany break Scotland’s hearts in a narrow 2-3 victory.

The nine group winners, the nine group runners-up and the best third-placed side qualify directly for the final tournament. The eight remaining third-placed teams will then compete in a play-offs to determine the last four qualifying spots for the final tournament.

UPDATE: Can started and played 90 minutes in his full national team debut. Germany would defeat then group leaders Poland 3-1.
