IFX Soccer footballer Joseph Thumbi featured on Kenyan TV Station

After returning to his native Nyeri, Kenya after a half season playing on the Isle of Wight with the Portsmouth FC CST Academy and Newport FC, a semi-professional club on the Isle of Wight, organized by IFX Soccer, Joseph was featured on a local television station and interviewed about his journey as a footballer. Joseph was a street boy rescued by Brother Kombe of the St. Mary’s Street Children Rescue Center, and taken to get an education and saved from the street life which he lived as a young boy. Now Joseph is giving back to his community, coaching boys at the St. Mary’s Rescue Center and preparing for hopefully another season on the Isle of Wight with Newport FC, where he will finish his Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Sport, enabling him to eventually study at a University in the UK.
