Sonntag, 03.03.13 14:00 Uhr – Regionalliga Bayern 2012/13 26. Spieltag – 1. FC Nürnberg II vs. VFL Frohnlach 3:0 (2:0)

IFX player Zack Mahon made his Regionalliga debut on March 3rd away to 1 FC Nürnberg as the 26th round of play resumed after the winter break. It was a homecoming of sorts for Mahon (who resides in the city of Nürnberg) in front of approx. 700 Fans at the Grundig Stadium, but one his team would soon want to forget.

Up against a formidable opponent that is challenging for the Regionalliga Bayern title, Mahon and his teammates found it especially difficult to create chances on the afternoon. VFL Frohnlach presented a 4-5-1 against der Club reserve squad, with Mahon getting the start and playing the traditional no.9 role.

It was the Bernd Rosinger show on the afternoon as he propelled his side to victory with a double, scoring his 17th and 18th goal on the season. Rosinger (23), a winter transfer from fellow Regionalliga opponent and 3rd Bundesliga promotional contenders SV Seligenporten. Mahon looks to build on his first start as they face TSV Buchbach, 3rd place in the table, at home on Saturday March 9th with kickoff at the Willi-Schillig-Stadion slated to start at 2PM (match was postponed due to field conditions).
