Looking to get European soccer experience and raise his standard of play, Nicolas Jandeleit (20), striker of Oberlin College Men soccer team (NCAA Division III) made the decision to move to Germany and with the help of IFX Soccer find the best place to play during this challenging 2020. Soon after Nic's arrival to Nürnberg, he began his private soccer tryouts with clubs from the Bayernliga and Landesliga in the Bayern region. After a few weeks of trials, he accepted the offer from the Dambach team SG Quelle Fürth to sign for the 2020-21 season. The roster led by Serdal Gündogan hold high expectations for the coming season which starts in early September and has arranged a series of matches to hone the team from which Nic is already taking part.

Nic stated that one of the major reasons why he accepted SG Quelle offer was the fact that Dambachers have strengthened their team for the coming season with many footballers with pro experience from where he will learn a lot in terms of soccer and professionalism. Until now, Nic and his new team have faced some pre season matches, the most difficult against the 2.Bundesliga clubs reserves, 1.FC Nürnberg II (which competes in Regionalliga Bayern - IV Division of German Soccer). Even though the result was not in Quelle's favor, Nic played a full 90 minutes and then had the opportunity to play 45 minutes in the next game against TSV Burgfarrnbach where was evident SG Quelle Fürth felt more comfortable and won 3-0.

A California native, Nic played for Alpine Strikers F.C for a couple of years in U.S.A. and then he went to the recognized Oberlin college where he has been playing for 2 years. He was proud to belong to Oberlin College Soccer team and he does not rule out the possibility of heading back for the following season and play for his beloved team. For now, Nic continues attending morning training sessions at the IFX Soccer Academy alongside other Pro IFX program as well as 30 Day soccer trial participants to complement his club obligations and get use to the fast pace typical of German soccer.

  • IFX partner club SG Quelle is well regarded as a feeder for some of the pro clubs in the area.
  • SG Quelle boast excellent facilities and a Gym open daily.

We from IFX Soccer are happy to have Nic in Germany with us and wish him every success in his season next to SG Quelle Fürth team. If you want to open doors in European soccer, let’s talk about your next step +1 510-599-4625!
