Anja Burkman Flaig interviewed about playing for Pro German Club 1. FC Nürnberg

Nürnberg, Germany. Now half way through the season, the Pro IFX Goalie Anja Burkman Flaig tell us about her experience playing for women´s squad of the nine-time Bundesliga Champion 1. FC Nürnberg. The Goalie is a part of the Pro IFX Year Germany told IFX Soccer how demanding trainings are at 1. FC Nürnberg and how she is complementing her club training and game obligations with extra sessions in the IFX Nürnberg Soccer Academy.

Anja has extensive experience as a forward. She stated that she can take these useful insights to enhance her ability as a goalie and see the full extent of the field to stay one step ahead of her opponents. 

"I have been playing soccer forever. I started playing competitive soccer in 5th grade and ever since that just have been a dream to come to Germany and play". (Anja Burkman Flaig)

Alongside the intense soccer training she is having in Germany, Anja is attending German classes four days a week, mastering her current level of German knowledge and putting into practice what she learns in classes while exploring Nürnberg as much as she can.

The Texan goalie also mentioned that to leave home was not easy at the beginning. "It takes some transitioning. The first month was very difficult as I had just graduated from High School. I moved to Germany after my graduation and I was homesick for a while but once I got in routine and everything it  has been really nice to have a little freedom to do different stuff. German people are very friendly and it´s been nice"
